LinkedIn Sourcing
Source candidates directly from LinkedIn and LinkedIn Recruiter profiles with the Talent Scout extension.
How It Works
- Navigate to any LinkedIn profile page.
- The Talent Scout sidebar automatically appears (or click the extension icon).
- The extension extracts:
- Full name, headline, and location
- Current and past work experience
- Education history
- Skills and endorsements
- Profile photo URL
- Job Fit Score is computed in real-time against your active roles.
- Click Ingest to XeCubes to add the candidate to your talent pool.
Extracted Data Points
| Field | Source |
|---|---|
| Name & Headline | Profile header |
| Location | Profile location field |
| Current Company | Experience section (most recent) |
| Work History | All listed positions with dates and descriptions |
| Education | Degrees, institutions, and graduation dates |
| Skills | Skills & endorsements section |
| Certifications | Licenses & certifications section |
| Profile URL | The LinkedIn profile URL for reference |
LinkedIn Recruiter
If you have a LinkedIn Recruiter subscription, Talent Scout works seamlessly:
- Extracts additional data available in Recruiter view (phone, email if visible).
- Works within LinkedIn Recruiter search results — extract multiple candidates in sequence.
- Preserves InMail history reference.
Bulk Sourcing Workflow
For high-volume sourcing:
- Open LinkedIn Search with your target criteria (e.g., "Senior React Developer San Francisco").
- Open profiles in new tabs.
- Visit each tab — Talent Scout auto-extracts and shows fit scores.
- Click Ingest on high-scoring candidates.
- All imported candidates appear in your XeCubes Talent Pool with source tagged as "LinkedIn - Talent Scout".
Best Practices
- Use specific job targeting — select the exact job you're sourcing for in extension settings to get accurate fit scores.
- Review before ingesting — quickly verify the extracted data is accurate.
- Check deduplication alerts — the extension warns if the candidate already exists in your system.
- Add sourcing notes — use the notes field to add context about why you're interested in the candidate.
